What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is the second major cannabinoid found in cannabis plants, hemp, and marijuana.
Unlike the other major cannabinoid THC, CBD is non-psychoactive. The effects of CBD include: alertness at low doses, sedation at high doses, reduces pain, relaxes muscle spasms, potent anti-inflammatory, stops nausea/vomiting, reduces anxiety/depression, anti-oxidant, anti-convulsant, and neuro-protectant. Although CBD is found throughout the Cannabis plant, its resinous buds or flowers found on the female plants contain the highest levels of CBD.
What is CBD isolate powder?
CBD Isolate is an extracted powder form of CBD that is 99% pure. In fact, this is the purest form of CBD available on the market. This highly versatile crystalline form of CBD can be ingested orally, smoked with other products, vaporized, and more. It is non-synthetic, non-GMO and completely natural.
CBD isolate or otherwise called “pure CBD” is the CBD molecule separated from the rest of the compounds it normally occurs with. CBD isolate usually appears as a crystalline white powder.
How is CBD isolate better than other CBD products?
With isolate powder, you can easily measure your own personalized dose of CBD to consume in any way you desire. It also has very little taste or smell and it can be easily mixed with other products. You can even add it to vape juice, tea, or other CBD products to increase their potency. The most effective method of administration varies among individuals, but many people find oral consumption to be very effective.
How much should I use?
Most doctors and experts with experience in the CBD industry recommended that you start small if looking to implement CBD into your daily routine. If that initial dose does not provide the relief you want, gradually work your way up to a higher dose until you reach the desired effect.
So, what is the best way to determine what a “small dose” is? The rule of thumb is, to begin with approximately 10 MG if you are an average size adult. However, larger men and women should consider doubling that amount.
Other factors to take into consideration
Other considerations include age and gender. For example, a college-aged girl does not need the same CBD oil dosage as a grown adult male if they are suffering from the same ailment.
Another critical point is that the more serious an ailment is, the more CBD you will probably need. There are a plethora of health conditions ranging from mild to severe that affect people differently.
It is also important to remember that it can take anywhere from a couple of minutes to a few hours for the full effects of CBD to show. As with any treatment, tolerance levels can change over time. Paying attention to the signs your body gives you is essential to know when it is time to either increase or decrease the dosage.
CBD dosage for common conditions
While there is no official number, numerous studies and years of research have been used to come up with recommended dosages for some common conditions. The Mayo Clinic has provided the following recommended dosages:
- Chronic Pain: 2.5-20 mg as needed
- Focus: 10-20 mg as needed
- Anxiety: 5-15 mg as needed
- Epilepsy: 200-300 mg daily
- Sleep Disorders: 40-100 mg at bedtime as needed
How to use CBD isolate
You’ve just purchased your very own CBD Isolate from BUYCOCBD and you are excited to use it! Here are some helpful tips for getting started:
You can weigh your CBD crystals using any kitchen scale. However, if you order from BUYCOCBD online, then you will receive a container that has been pre-measured for you. Each container has 1 gram of isolate, equivalent to 1000mg. Each milligram of the crystals/powder is equal to one milligram of pure CBD – this crystal/powder is the purest form of the CBD compound.
You’ll want to mix your isolate with coconut, avocado, grape seed oil or any other MCT that can be easily purchased from most grocery stores or health food stores. Using a small glass container or bowl, add the CBD powder and 10ml of whichever oil you choose. Mix your solution and then place the container into a larger container that is filled with hot water. The water does not need to be boiling, but it needs to be hot enough to allow your solution to be slightly heated. After 5 minutes, give your mixture a good stir and you will have just created your new CBD concentrated oil. Using an oral syringe, you can pull your new concentrated oil into the syringe. Your new mixture is approximately 10% CBD, if you used 10ml of oil.
Ingesting CBD: How to Use your Oil
Oil made from our CBD Isolate is ideal for making CBD edibles like brownies, cookies, or any other recipe that uses oil. This is because there is very little taste or odor and our CBD Isolate is easily soluble in oils.
Once you’ve already made your oil, substitute it for the oil in baking recipes. You can also drizzle it over coffee, smoothies, or ice cream. When cooking and baking with the oil, be aware: at temperatures higher than 350-degrees Fahrenheit, CBD will be past its boiling point and may lose some potency.
Dabbing & Vaping
You can also dab your CBD crystals for a faster dose, using an oil rig or wax vaporizer. Understand that this won’t make you high – instead, you’ll soon feel a sense of calm. If you want to take CBD isolate using a hand held vaporizer or vape pen, we recommend dissolving the CBD isolate into a liquid. You can do this by adding around 200mg of pure CBD powder to 10ml of regular e-liquid, and then heating the mixture to 140 degrees Fahrenheit until the crystals dissolve nicely into your e-liquid. Vaporizing your CBD will also help you feel the effects faster, as CBD enters the bloodstream more easily through this method.
CBD can also be applied topically to the skin for calming and pain relieving effects. If you’d like to try using your isolate as a topical treatment, you can melt the isolate into a base product such as coconut oil.
This mixture can then be applied as a topical lotion or cream. You can also add CBD isolate to any natural skin lotion or cream such as shea butter or bees wax.
Do you test your products for quality and safety?
Yes. COCBD prides itself in having the highest standards for quality, purity and potency. Colorado CBD uses third party testing for: Cannabinoid Profiling, Pesticide Testing, and Solving Testing ensuring the highest quality CBD available.
Can CBD benefit my pet?
Yes. Pets can benefit from CBD for many of the same conditions as humans: pain, seizures, inflammation, and anxiety. CBD is safe to use for pets but their dosage will likely be much smaller than yours. Dogs, in particular, have a higher concentration of cannabinoid receptors in their brain, leaving them more sensitive to cannabinoids, including CBD.
Do you offer a return policy?
Yes. Your satisfaction is our top priority. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain return authorization.
Can I get high from CBD?
CBD is considered to be a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, so it will not get you high like THC (marijuana) will.
Can you Overdose on CBD?
CBD has been shown to be safe to use in high doses. CBD will not cause a fatal overdose. However, it is possible to take too much CBD. A consequence of taking too much CBD is the increased chance of lethargy or nausea.
Can CBD interact with other drugs?
Yes, sometimes. CBD is metabolized by a group of enzymes called the CYP450. These enzymes are responsible for metabolizing many commonly used drugs. CBD can inhibit the activity of the CYP450 enzymes. Please consult your doctor if you are currently taking medications.
